Overview
PowerGEM will present a universal prospecting study tool that supports future queue simulations. The tool lets users conduct a range of prospecting analyses, from least severe (e.g., TrLim) to extremely severe, to identify the most promising prospecting buses among competing alternatives.
The session will also cover how the tool summarizes mitigation costs, including detailed cost information, for all future queue projects. This solution can be applied to prospecting studies across all RTOs and regulated markets.
This tool will be especially useful to MISO developers making their final decision for which of their prospects they will enter into the upcoming DPP-2026 application. MISO’s DPP-2026 queue window closes September 10, 2026.
